Arctic Warfare Heritage
The L96A1 / AW was designed to function reliably at -40°C Arctic temperatures through a combination of controlled-round-feed geometry, stainless steel components, and the chassis stock design that eliminates wood swelling and warping effects on zero. Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison of the Household Cavalry set the world record for the longest confirmed sniper kill — 2,475m (1.54 miles) — using an AI AWM in .338 Lapua Magnum in 2009. The .308 AW is the foundation of the entire AI precision sniper family.
